Sandberg Multi Hard Disk Box 3,5" -laite mahdollistaa 3,5":n IDE- tai SATA-kiintolevynkäytön kannettavana ulkoisena kiintolevynä. Laite kytketään tietokoneeseen joko USB 2.0-tai eSATA-liitännän kautta, mikä mahdollistaa jopa 3 Gt/s:n tiedonsiirtonopeuden (IDE-kiintolevyjäei kuitenkaan voida kytkeä eSATA-liitännän kautta). Jos tietokoneessa ei ole eSATA-porttia,sisäinen SATA-portti voidaan muuttaa eSATA-portiksi mukana toimitetun sovitinpidikkeen avulla.Alumiinikotelo ja hiljainen sisäänrakennettu tuuletin pitävät kiintolevyn viileänä ja takaavatparhaan mahdollisen suorituskyvyn. Usein esitettyjä kysymyksiä

Kun käytän USB-liitäntää, tietokone löytää aseman. Mutta kun käytän eSATA-liitäntää, tietokone ei löydä asemaa. Miksi?

Käytettäessä eSATA-liitäntää saattaa olla tarpeen asettaa Windows etsimään SATA-ohjaimeen tehtyjä muutoksia. Tämä tehdään SATA-ohjaimen kautta Windowsin laitehallinnassa. Napsauta SATA-ohjainta hiiren kakkospainikkeella ja valitse ”Etsi laitteistoon tehdyt muutokset”.
