By fitting an ordinary hard disk inside the Sandberg Network Disk, you get a data store that can be connected both to the local area network and the Internet. This gives you access to the data on the disk from wherever you are in the world, saving you the expense of a file server, as the hard disk and Network Disk do the job for you. The Sandberg Network Disk can also be connected to a computer via USB 2.0, allowing you to use it as an external hard disk directly connected to your computer.
Network Disk has been awarded 13 points out of 15 by PC Hemma in Sweden (issue 12/5-2006), earning it their “Best Buy” logo. PC Hemma wrote:

How can I reset my Network Disk?
The disk can be reset as follows: 1.Switch off the disk. 2. Press and hold the "reset" button. 3. Switch the disk back on while continuing to hold in the "reset" button. 4. Wait 5-10 seconds. 5. Release the “reset” button. 6. The disk should now be reset.
My Network Disk's firmware version is older than version 45. How can I update it?
Unfortunately it is not possible to update versions older than version 45.
